Gemstone identification books?

I am genuinely getting into collecting gemstones, but I am not yet skilled enough to recognize all of the unalike stones in the parcels I purchased. So my question to all you other gem geeks out there is:

What is the most successfully book to buy to help me identify

I justified purchased Simon ans Schuster's Guide to Gems and Semiprecious Stones.
The regulations tells of many types of gemstones and the physical properties, as well as cultural consequence of various types of gemstone. It also has a chapter on the cutting and preparation
