If my fiance has a gemstone engagement ring, where does she wear the wedding ring?

Combat ring has a ruby in it and has been passed down through generations. We are wondering what kind of wedding band/ring you get to accompany the gemstone ring and on which finger do you wear it? Same finger as the Eng. Ring or on the other hand?

my obligation ring has a small purple heart and when we get married i layout on moving it to my right hand and wearing it there, since it won't match my wedding ensemble.
